He's heard it might be therapeutic...

Really Bored
But this was just too much fun to ignore; I've got a lot of time for this guy - Mighty Mike. Check his site, it's (now) in my blogroll...
Wow; My guys get pissed when the nurses don't do the bloods for the patients, and to be fair, most of us don't have a clue how to do an ECG, but I try to follow the maxim, don't ask anyone to do anything for you, you can't do yourself
To be fair I believe our scope of practice, as well as our payscale, is broader here in the Great White North than the UK.
Plus, I am working in 'teeny tiny' hospital, things are a bit different once the bed count goes up. In the bigger places we never get out of the Lab...we have aides who get the blood/cardio does their own stuff...think I'm bored now!
And if I can't get the blood chances are you're doing a femoral and I'll be busy in Blood Bank for a bit ;)

Ha...bet I'm more bored than you are.
Stuck at work again...have done exactly one urine dip since 2300h!
Oh I'm excited now, pager just went off. Off to ER I go. (at night I get to stick the patients myself, no minions)
Work done, machines fed....got a chance to listen...too funny, where do you find this stuff ???
Don't the docs stick the patients?
Mighty mIke is a random you tube find...
Hell no, its all me baby....draw the blood run the tests. Sometimes even tell them what the numbers mean ;) I'm a woman of many talents.
I'm the entire lab service this time of night...even do the ECG's for them.
